Questions Our Local Arborist Is Asked Regularly

If you are in the market for a local arborist, then Trees To Go, serving Lutz, FL and the surrounding areas is the one to choose! Since you are looking at this FAQ post, I would like to take the opportunity to share answers to questions I get asked more frequently and explain why people decide to choose my company over the competition.

Q. How long does it typically take to remove a tree?

A. There’s no definitive answer that will suit every tree removal job. Several factors go into removing a tree safely. That includes the location, size, and complexity of the fall.

Q. How long do I need to wait to plant a new tree after removing an old one?

A. I recommend that you wait at least a year before you plant another tree in its place. Just to be sure that the old tree doesn’t start to grow back if the rootball was not removed. If the root was removed fully, then it’s safe to plant right away.

Q. How often should trees be inspected for health?

A. The exact frequency will depend on your tree, climate, and property. Generally, I recommend that you use my reliable tree service to inspect your trees every three years. Also, get an inspection done if you experience extreme weather conditions.

Q. What are the signs I need to look for that a tree is diseased?

A. Leaves that look chewed, or the bark has fungus growing on it are both signs that the tree is suffering from a disease. However, each tree species comes with its own set of diseases that can affect it. So if you think that your tree has a disease, give me a call now.

Q. What are the risks of DIY tree removal?

A. There’s always a risk of injury or fatality. You could also damage nearby buildings, take down power lines, injure passers-by, or destroy vehicles. Amateurs should never think about taking down a tree, especially the mature ones.

Q. Are there any signs of pest infestation that I should look out for in my trees?

A. Yes, as I mentioned before, if your leaves start to look chewed, chances are you have an insect problem.

Q. What type of maintenance is required for young trees?

A. Young trees do require regular watering for them to grow strong roots.

Q. Can I plant a tree where another one was removed?

A. You can! However, make sure that all the roots from the previous tree are removed.

Q. What type of tree care is recommended for older, mature trees?

A. Mature trees do require frequent pruning in order to remove dead or diseased branches, in addition to removing the excess weight off the branches. Also, monthly deep watering is needed if no rainfall is scheduled.

Q. Do you work on both residential and commercial properties?

A. Yes, I have the equipment, tools, and experience to work on trees no matter where they are situated. Trees require the same treatment in both residential and commercial settings.
